Fibroid

Fibroid
Egg tempera on paper
30 x 44 inches

Someone once described a fibroid tumor as one that carried many features of a human being, but that these features were scattered and shuffled, that they were not in the accustomed order. I don’t find any evidence on line that that is the case but that was the description that informed this painting. Maybe homunculus would be a better title.
